Empowering Refugees at RAF Wethersfield

Supporting Men Seeking Asylum Through Sports, Learning & Wellbeing

At Simmply Active Group, we proudly deliver targeted support and community programmes at RAF Wethersfield - a former MOD base now housing male refugees and asylum seekers.

In partnership with the Home Office, The FA, and Essex County Council, we provide a holistic package of sport, education, and mentoring to improve the lives of those navigating an extremely difficult transition. Our work is centred around promoting mental health, physical activity, social integration, and skill-building, helping residents not just survive, but move forward with purpose and dignity.

Our work at RAF Wethersfield forms part of our wider commitment to supporting refugees and asylum seekers through Simmply United, using sport, wellbeing and community activities to build confidence, connection and belonging.
