SIMMPLY PROJECT UK
SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE ON A POSITIVE PATHWAY.
Early intervention, mentoring and positive opportunities for young people at risk of knife crime, violence and exploitation.
Our mission
Our mission is to create positive pathways for young people by providing safe spaces, trusted relationships, and meaningful opportunities.
We recognise that there is no single solution to preventing knife crime and youth violence. Our approach focuses on early intervention and positive engagement, helping young people access activities, support, education, and opportunities that can contribute to safer and more positive futures.
Through our programmes, we aim to:
Engage vulnerable and at-risk young people
Provide positive alternatives to crime and antisocial behaviour
Build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
Create trusted relationships with positive role models and mentors
Support physical and mental wellbeing
Raise awareness of knife crime and youth violence
Create pathways into education, sport, training, and employment
Our WHY
THE POWER OF SPORT, MENTORING & TIME
We believe giving a young person the right support at the right time can make a meaningful difference.
National Awareness Campaign
KIDS CAN LEARN TO PICK UP KNIVES YOUNGER THAN YOU THINK.
Simmply Active has partnered with TBWA\MCR and Bauer Media Outdoor to launch a national awareness campaign encouraging parents and carers to recognise the warning signs of knife carrying at an earlier age and start important conversations before it's too late.

WHY EARLY INTERVENTION MATTERS
Knife crime continues to affect young people, families, and communities across the UK.
Police recorded 49,151 offences involving knives or sharp instruments in England and Wales in the year ending December 2025.
While recorded offences have decreased compared with the previous year, every incident can have a lasting impact on victims, families, friends, and wider communities.
At Simmply Project UK, we believe prevention requires more than awareness alone. Young people need trusted adults, safe environments, positive opportunities, education, and access to support before problems escalate.
By working with young people and communities, we aim to contribute to a wider effort to prevent knife crime, reduce youth violence, and create safer futures.
Of teenage weapon carriers surveyed in 2025 had been victims of serious violence, compared with 3.3% of teenagers who had never carried a weapon. This comes from a Youth Endowment Fund survey of nearly 11,000 13–17-year-olds, cited in the Government's 2026 knife crime plan.

Our approach
-
We aim to engage young people early, providing support and positive opportunities before challenges escalate into more serious situations.
-
We use sport, fitness, boxing, football, and other physical activities to provide structure, positive outlets, and opportunities to build confidence and relationships.
-
Positive role models and trusted adults can have a powerful impact on a young person's life. Our approach focuses on listening, building trust, and helping young people recognise their strengths and potential.
-
We encourage honest conversations about knife crime, youth violence, exploitation, choices, and consequences, helping young people better understand risk and make informed decisions.
-
We help young people explore opportunities in education, training, sport, personal development, and employment, giving them positive goals to work towards.
